It travels through the coast of Kochi, the backwaters and mainlands of Alleppey, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta & Kollam town to the present day capital city of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

Being along the coast, the people of this region loves sea food. The magic lies in being close to sea. Travancore Recipes have many things in common with the Christian Syrian or Suriani way of cooking, with the Travancore side also including a lot of vegetarian recipes. Suriani way has a lot of non-vegetarian like meat & sea food blended in one with less of vegetarian dishes. This blog will be concentrating on people living in the Travancore side of Kerala and their culinary favorisms, both veg and non-veg.
